What is a DUI? A DUI is known as Driving Under the Influence. This usually refers to alcohol and is determined by what your Blood Alcohol Content level, or BAC, is. When your BAC is between 0.4 and 0.8, you can be considered to be driving under the influence. This is a crime in Minnesota, and is punishable by fines, license removal, and even having your vehicle impounded and your license plates revoked. The state is very serious about this type of crime because of the many well publicized accidents Minnesota has had that involved drunk driving. If you have been found to be driving under the influence, seek local legal counsel immediately from a DUI lawyer. They will be able to help you in the forthcoming legal proceedings. |
